The Subbetica national park is a beautiful, rugged park and is home of one of southern Spain’s largest breeding colonies of griffon vultures, as well as around 70 other bird species. These include Bonelli’s eagles, Peregrine falcons, Short-toed eagles, Black kites, Ring ouzel, Rock thrush, Blue rock thrush, Alpine accentor, Alpine swift, Golden eagles.

In Zuheros, you can visit a series of spectacular bat caves (Las Cuevas de las Murcielagos) created by the erosion of the limestone landscape. It has impressive stalagmites, stalactites and other rock formations.
